It is definitely beginning to feel like winter around here, but that won’t stop me from dreaming about this gorgeous beach house by McAlpine Booth & Ferrier Interiors (featured in the February 2008 issue of Veranda Magazine).
Jennifer Fisher’s office (featured in the January 2013 Matchbook Magazine–photos by Rima Campbell) is one of my all-time favorites. That color palate? Yes. Chandelier? Um, yes. Desk? YES! I want it all.
Also, I have to let tell you that Jennifer Fisher is one pretty amazing jewelry designer. You think this office is rad? You have to check out her jewelry!
For the last few months, I have been drastically reducing what’s in my closet down to my most basic, simple items (almost all black and/or white), and adding back only the most classic pieces that will be able to stand the test of time. You know, a classic white button-down, a camel trench, flattering dark-rinse jeans. I am really trying to stay away from “trendy” items, and only purchase the things that I really love, even if they cost a little more. I am looking forward to being able to wear my clothes for more than one season!
All that to say, I am really loving the leather trend that has taken over for the past few seasons. This leather pencil skirt is top-notch! And even though leather is definitely a trend, I don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon (fingers crossed!).
This Melbourne home makes my heart skip a beat every time I see it. I am pretty sure that if I could live in any house, anywhere, and not change a thing, this would be it. Love.

Happy Halloween! Do you have any plans tonight? If you are anything like me, they will involve hanging around the house in something cozy, lighting a few candles, and handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters.
Here are just a few of the things that I am loving on this lazy Halloween.
Happy Friday! Hope you have all had a good week! We got the first taste of fall around here with some much cooler weather. This weekend, we are going to a fall festival in Grant Park, and I couldn’t be more excited — fall really is my favorite time of year! If there’s time later, we may even attempt painting pumpkins!
Here are some of my favorite pins of the week, to help get your weekend off to an inspired start:
